If you are crossing the Canadian Border from the US:

San Juan Islands and Victoria via Anacortes, Wa and Sidney BC,Washington (north of Seattle). Passes through the scenic San Juan Islands and arrives at Sidney, about 18 miles north of Victoria. Two sailings daily at best. Because of stops along the way, this is a longish trip of 2 1/2 hours but you are passing through prime whale watching territory. Essential to reserve and arrive early in high season. If there is any chance you might be delayed, take the ferry from Tsawwassen above.
Olympic Peninsula - Port Angeles and Victoria, Port Angeles, Washington. Arrives in Victoria harbor downtown just two blocks from Andersen House B&B. Up to 4 sailings daily in high season. Very busy. Sometimes it's necessary to arrive hours before sailing times (so call ahead when you are travelling). They now take reservations (recommended).
